Take advantage of a special International Business Program and Business Centre services for international visitors jointly organized by the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation, Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade Canada, City of Toronto, and Canadian Construction Association.
The International Business Program has been developed for all
international visitors attending our Shows.
This program will help you make efficient use of your time while you are in
Canada.
Remember, start the process now and allow
enough time for processing of your visa, if a visa is required.
Do not finalize your travel arrangements until all the necessary
steps to ensure legal entry into Canada are completed.

The International Business Program is a specialized networking and
educational program developed to assist international visitors to learn,
share, meet, and build relationships with Canadian companies. The
International Business Program is comprised of a half-day informative
presentation series, a Networking Luncheon, an intensive Wednesday afternoon export cafe, additional meeting arrangements, access to International Visitors to the 200 seminars and presentations within the Construct Canada conference program, and access to the Construct Canada exposition.

This presentation series will delve in the latest international market information for construction and infrastructure opportunities for Canadian companies. Canadian Construction Building Innovations
The construction sector in North America is seeing cross-overs with the technology sector in many areas. Some of these areas include Business Information Modelling, Costing Modelling, Supply Chain, and general communications. As the construction educational leader in Canada, George Brown College must ensure that it is at the forefront of all of these trends so that it can ensure its graduates have the skills to be successful and move the industry forward as a whole. The college achieves this goal through all forms of close cooperation with the industry, including advisory, teaching and lecturing, research, and many other types of interactions help. This presentation will reveal some of the technologies that have been developed in cooperation with industry stakeholders and how we are working to ensure better outcomes.

Finance Innovation: Market Growth and Opportunities in Russia
For many years, CMHC International focused on Russia as a strategic export market for Canadian housing companies, including working with the Russian government to harmonize Russian building codes and regulations for low-rise residential wood frame construction with those of Canada. Increasing numbers of low rise North American style suburbs are now popping up around Russia. Most recently, CMHC engaged LAC & Associates to complete a detailed study on how the Russian financial systems works with respect to construction and mortgage financing. The speaker will focus on the Russian housing market with respect to construction and mortgage financing and the manner in which Canadian companies should work with developers, banks, insurance companies, and mortgage brokers in Russia, in order to structure a comprehensive financing package for both the construction phase of any development project and for potential Russian buyers of completed properties. The presentation will address some of the key differences in this area between Canada and Russia.

Thursday and Friday mornings will be devoted to touring the 1050 exhibits and watching the "hands-on"
demonstrations on the exposition floor. As an international visitor,

that will direct you to those exhibitors who have indicated a strong
interest in exporting to specific global markets.

The International Business Centre will provide a meeting place for international visitors by providing ongoing information and staff resources and a comfortable space for informal business meetings. The centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 28 to November 29, and from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on November 30.
The
International Business Centre is a resource centre and
meeting place for international trade and activity and will serve all
your informational needs at the Show.
The Centre will be open from Wednesday, November 28 to Friday, November 30 on Level 700 of the Metro Toronto
Convention Centre South Building.
The Centre will be open every day, providing you with an ideal location to
hold business meetings or to further explore business opportunities.
